And celebrity pair Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale is definitely in awe of the 10-time French Open champion as they have named their newborn son Rafa.
Actress Rose Byrne of Bridesmaids fame and actor Bobby Cannavale, popular for enacting the role of Bobby Caffey in the crime thriller Third Watch were inspired by Nadal’s indomitable spirit, his relentless pursuit of excellence and humility off the court.
“I hadn’t given one of my children a Latin name yet, so I wanted to honor my mom’s side of the family,” Cannavale told Entertainment Tonight. “And, you know, Rafael Nadal had such a great year, and we were constantly keeping up with him and watching all his matches, so we were like, ‘How about Rafa? That goes well with Rocco.’ And that was it.”

This is Byrne and Cannavale’s second child together. Their first son, Rocco Robin was born almost two years ago. Cannavale also has a 22-year-old son, named Jake, from an earlier relationship.
Baby Rafa’s birth took place in November and he hasn’t shown any signs whatsoever of being a left-hander so far. However, like his parents, he has already become famous due to two reasons, one being the son of a star pair and another being of course his name.
