13) Bercy: Julien Benneteau upsets three top 20 players in his home country

Just a few months before his planned retirement in 2018, the 35-year-old defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, David Goffin, and Marin Cilic on his way to only his second Masters 1,000 semifinal. Julien burst into tears immediately after his quarterfinal upset of Cilic, the number three seed.

14) Bercy: Filip Krajinovic’s run to the final

Entering the tournament as the 77th seed, and having only one tour-level to his name in 2017, Krajinovic upset two top 10 seeds to advance to his first Masters 1,000 final. After coming back in a third set tiebreak to defeat John Isner in the semifinal, Filip fell to the court in tears. However, the best reaction was from his coach, who leaped to his feet and immediately ripped his shirt off.

16) ATP Finals: Grigor Dimitrov wins the biggest title of his career

It may have been David Goffin who defeated both Nadal and Federer earlier in the week, but he was not able to take out Dimitrov in the final. Dimitrov sobbed while lying face down on the court after achieving this career milestone.
