Serena Williams has wed Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in a lavish wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The pair celebrated in front of many star-studded friends and family at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center. Williams and Ohanian had engaged for almost a year, since December 29th 2016.

The event was attended by a number of notable stars of the sport including sister Venus and close friend Caroline Wozniacki. The Dane had good news of her own recently when she announced that she and basketball star boyfriend David Lee were engaged. Kim Kardashian and Eva Longoria were also in attendance at the event, which required a whole street in New Orleans to be cordoned off to ensure that the event went safely.
Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who is a big tennis fan, and also a close friend of the Federer family also attend the wedding.
Williams’ wedding featured a novel way of helping guests find their seats. Each guest had a mini replica of a Williams Grand Slam title with their name of it, representing the table they were to be sat at.

Williams, 36, has not played on the tour since the Australian Open, which she won, as she gave birth to daughter Alexis Ohanian Jr in September. The American star insists that she will return to professional tennis in the future, but has given no concrete date for when that will be.
