The entry lists for the first ATP tournaments of 2018 have been announced.
The three events will be the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha, the Brisbane International and the Maharashtra Open in Pune and they all will be played on outdoor-hard courts from the 1st to the 7th of January. Pune, at its first edition, will replace the Chennai Open.
Brisbane, the first tournament of the Aussie summer, has the highest cut-off at 68, with many players preparing theirselves for Melbourne, like Rafael Nadal, Grigor Dimitrov, Andy Murray and Kei Nishikori. Doha follows with a cut of 73, and Dominic Thiem, Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are some of the stars. Marin Cilic and Kevin Anderson lead the field of Pune, whose cut-off is 102.
The defending champions are Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in Doha and Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in Brisbane and Spain’s Roberto Bautista-Agut in India.
