There are currently no plans, but the chances of a film being made based on Roger Federer’s career is a good possibility. The question is which actor would play him?
The 36-year-old selected his pick on Thursday at the Zurich Film Festival in his native Switzerland. He was there to attend the premiere of Borg McEnroe. A biographical sports film based on the rivalry between Bjorn Borg and John mcEnroe.

Speaking about the possibility of a film being made about his rivalry with Rafael Nadal, Federer dismissed the chances. Although, he did mention what kind of actor he would like to play him.
“I doubt there ever will be a movie about Rafa and me.but if, I’d like matt Damon, Leo Di Caprio or a James Bond like guy to play me.” He said.
Federer has played Nadal 37 times on the tour so far. Their head-to-head is currently 23-14 to the Spaniard. Out of those encounters, nine of them have been in a grand slam final and 11 in the final of a Masters 1000 tournament.
Asked about what actor he would choose to be, Federer said Leonardo Di Caprio. Best known for starring in films such as the Titanic, Wolf of Wall Street and the Revenant.
“I would like to be Leonardo DiCaprio,” stated Federer. “He recently won an Oscar and makes great films. I think it’s pretty good right now. “
Federer will be shortly heading to China to begin the Asian swing of his tour.
