WTA World No.10 player Agnieszka Radwanska has married her partner Dawid Celt in a ceremony in Krakow Poland this weekend.
“The Professor” as she is known on the tennis court is a former grand slam finalist having made the Wimbledon final in 2012. She was knocked out of this year’s competition by Timea Baczinsky in the fourth round.
The ceremony took place in Krakow, Radwanska’s hometown. The event was attended by Radwanska’s friends and professional rivals including Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki.
Radwanska’s form this year has been indifferent, with the Pole failing to make it past the fourth round of a slam for the first time since 2010. She does have the US Open to change that this season. She lost in the fourth round of that event last year.
It has been a big year for off the news tennis stories and speculation. Serena Williams is expected to marry her partner Alexis Ohanian later this year, whilst Roger Federer was a high profile guest at the wedding of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews. Williams has yet to announce the date for her wedding, and the tennis star is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
