Wimbledon finalist Milos Raonic has parted ways with coach Richard Krajicek following his earlier than expected loss at the French Open.

The world No.6 crashed out in the fourth round to Pablo Carreno Busta after being edged out in five sets. During that match, he produced a total of 84 unforced errors. It was the second consecutive year that the Canadian failed to reach the last eight in Roland Garros.

“I just wasn’t very efficient, especially through the first three sets. I had a lot of times where I’m controlling the point. And short forehands that I wasn’t very efficient with and just let him stick around in those moments.” He said about his loss to Carreno Busta.

Confirming Krajicek’s departure on his social media account, Raonic wrote that their separation was a ‘mutual agreement.’ The two have been working together since December, but they haven’t won a title. Raonic, who has been troubled by injury issues throughout 2017, has been runner-up at two ATP tournaments. In Delray Beach he withdrew from the final due to injury and lost to Marin Cilic at the Istanbul Open.

“My coach, Richard Krajicek, and I have decided to part ways. This decision has been a mutual one,” Raonic said on his official Twitter account.
“I would like to thank Richard for his help with my game, his dedication and professionalism. I wish him all the best.”

Guiding the 26-year-old throughout the upcoming grass-court swing will be long-term coach Riccardo Piatti. Piatti has mentored Raonic since 2013 as well as other numerous figures. His next tournament will be the Aegon Classic in London, where the Canadian reached the final last year.

Raonic isn’t the only person making changes to his team. Earlier this week Tomas Berdych split with coach Goran Ivanisevic following his French Open loss.
