At next year’s Miami Open Novak Djokovic will likely be playing at the tournament whilst residing in his extravagant new house in Miami Beach.
It has been confirmed that the world No.2 has purchased a three bedroom condo at Eight Seven Park. The multi-million complex has residences ranging between 1,000 Sq.Ft to 4,140 Sq.Ft of interior space. There is a total of 70 homes located across 18 stories. Some of the amenities include a 55-foot swimming pool, gym, private elevator, a ‘soul centre’ spa and even an in-house botanist.
Djokovic’s 3.5 bathroom residence features floor-to-ceiling windows to provide him and his family with a breathtaking view of Miami. It is understood that he opted for the Miami venue because it provides him the ‘perfect lifestyle.’ A not surprising view considering the property features wraparound balconies.
“I was inspired by the unmatched level of service, exclusive park access, in-house botanist and panoramic views of both land and sea,” Djokovic said in a press release.
“I simply love the design of the building,” he later added. “It will be my new retreat.”
The purchase of his new place comes as Djokovic recovers from an elbow injury. Earlier this month he was forced to withdraw from the Miami Open. It is the first time he has missed the Masters tournament since 2005.
There has been no confirmation of the Price Djokovic paid for his new home, but it is said to be in the range of $4.3-$8.9 million. According to Forbes, the Serbian was the sixth highest earning athlete in 2016 with a combined wealth of $55.8M.
