The accomplishments of Roger Federer is one that has earned him the reputation as one of the most iconic figures in the world of sport.
Throughout his career, the 35-year-old has so far spent 302 weeks as world No.1 (the longest in the history of men’s tennis) and has won a record 18 grand slam titles. Federer’s most recent achievement occurred at the Australian Open where he defeated Nadal in five sets during the final. His latest milestone has been hailed as one of the Swiss players’ greatest ever as he played in his first ATP tournament for six months due to injury.
In celebration of Federer’s triumph in Melbourne, Italian newspaper La Republica published a series of drawings of him by numerous artists.
