The acceptance lists for the Stockholm Open, the Kremlin Cup in Moscow and the European Open in Antwerp have been announced.
These three Atp 250 tournaments will be played on indoor hard-courts from the 17th to the 23rd of October..
Stockholm is an historical stop of the Atp World Tour as it has been hosting a tourney since 1969. Former champions include tennis legends like Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe (four times), Ivan Lendl, Stefan Edberg (twice), Mats Wilander and Boris Becker (four times). Six top-25 players entered this year’s edition: France’s Gael Monfils (the only top 20) and Lucas Pouille, USA’s John Isner and Steve Johnson, Croatia’s Ivo Karlovic, Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov. Defending champion Tomas Berdych did not sign in.

The Kremlin Cup in Moscow has been held since 1990 and 11 of the total 26 editions were won by a Russian player (Kafelnikov five times, Davydenko three times..). This year, the only Russian player in the entry list is Andrey Kuznetsov, with Donskoy, Kravchuk, Khachanov and Gabashvili between the alternates. Two-time former finalist Roberto Bautista-Agut and Australia’s Bernard Tomic are the two highest ranked players, followed by Philipp Kohlschreiber and Martin Klizan.

The European Open in Antwerp, which is one of the new entries of the Atp World Tour 2016 calendar, has the highest original cut-off between the three events, at 70. Spain’s David Ferrer, Belgium’s David Goffin and France’s Richard Gasquet lead the field, which also includes big names like those of Pablo Cuevas, Gilles Simon, Benoit Paire and Mikhail Youzhny.
