Christopher Eubanks, Mischa Zverev, John-Patrick Smith and Austin Krajicek have qualified for Atp Atlanta main draw.
The tournament is an ATP 250 and it is played on outdoor hard courts.
Wild Card Christopher Eubanks got through the singles qualifying with two impressive wins. The 20 year-old American, who is ranked 1817th at the moment, is playing his just third professional tournament this season, but managed to dismiss sixth seed Tommy Paul 6-2 7-5 and first seed Thiago Monteiro 6-4 7-5 making nine breaks in total.
Another American who joined the main draw is 26 year-old Austin Krajicek, after winning two huge battles. In the first qualifying round, he was able to withstand 27 aces hit by British Lloyd Glasspool to win 7-6(6) 4-6 6-4, while in the final round he came from behind to beat Australian James Duckworth 3-6 7-6(5) 7-6(5).
German Mischa Zverev also made it into the main draw ousting Matt Reid 6-4 6-2 and Nicolas Meister 7-6(5) 7-5. Zverev was broken only once in two matches and played a very aggressive game, serving and volleying on both first and second serve. He will face Adrian Mannarino in the first round of main draw.
Then, Australian John-Patrick Smith fought his way into the main draw as well. After an easy win on Andrew Carter, he came back from 3-5 30-40 down in first set to knock out second-seeded Tobias Kamke 7-6(4) 6-3.
In the main draw, Eubanks will face Wild Card Reilly Opelka, while Mischa Zverev will play Adrian Mannarino, Austin Krajicek will play Donald Young and John-Patrick Smith will meet Julien Benneteau. Brazilian Thiago Monteiro was also added to the main draw as lucky loser after the withdrawal of Rajeev Ram, who is playing the Olympics in doubles with Brian Baker.
