
The entry lists for the Atp 500 tournaments of Beijing and Tokyo show a very high level in both tournaments, with four top-10 players in China.
The two Atp World Tour’s events will be played from the 3rd to the 9th of October, before the Shanghai Master 1000.
Serbian Novak Djokovic, British Andy Murray and Spaniard Rafael Nadal entered the China Open in Beijing, alongside Canadian Milos Raonic and French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The acceptance list has an original cut-off of 39, one of the highest ones of the year, and it also includes Spaniard David Ferrer, USA’s John Isner, Italian Fabio Fognini, French Richard Gasquet and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. First two alternates are Frenchman Nicolas Mahut and Russian Andrey Kuznetsov.
The Japan Open in Tokyo also shows a big field, with four top-10 players: Swiss Stan Wawrinka, Japanese Kei Nishikori, Czech Tomas Berdych and Croatian Marin Cilic. Belgian David Goffin, French Gael Monfils, Spaniard Feliciano Lopez and Australian Nick Kyrgios committed to play as well. With the cut-off at 49, the first two alternates are Czech Jiri Vesely and Spanish Pablo Carreno-Busta.
The qualifying entry list for both tournaments is coming out in three weeks.
