Players from both the ATP and WTA Tours have taken to social media to send their wishes to the injury-plagued Roger Federer. The 17-time grand slam champion has decided to end his season early as he continues his rehabilitation on a knee injury that has been troubling him since the start of the year. The decision means that Federer will not be playing in next months Olympic Games and will finish the season without a title for the first time since 2001.
A sad, but very smart decision by Roger. I wish you the best with the rehab and hope you’ll come back healthy in 2017 champ. @rogerfederer
