There was no reduction in Andy Murray’s aggressive play as he took to the Spanish clay courts to conduct his last practice session before facing Novak Djokovic in the final of the Madrid Open.
A win in the final is vital to Murray’s ranking. If he loses to Novak Djokovic, the world No.2 position will be taken away from the Brit and given to Roger Federer.
Practicing in the Manolo Santana stadium with Jamie Delgado, he hit a series of rallies from the baseline. It might have been a practice session, however, Murray didn’t hold back as he fired a series of blistering forehand and backhand winners across the court. If Murray wins in Madrid, it will the eighth time in his career that he has successfully defended a title on the ATP Tour.
