Lucie Safarova Edges Defending Champion Karolina Pliskova To Meet Sam Stosur In The Final
In the much anticipated meeting of the Czechs Lucie Safarova and Karolina Pliskova, a match between the second and third seed, Safarova was the one to come out on top, winning 6-4 7-6(4). In the other semifinal, Samantha Stosur got a walkover from the injured first seed, Svetlana Kuznetsova. The Russian cited an abdominal injury.
