She’s now the best seed in the Doha tournament. After the Angélique Kerber and Simona Halep’s loss, Agnieszka Radwanska is the favorite for the final victory.

Today the Polish won in two good sets against Monica Niculescu, 7/5, 6/1 and 1h42 minutes on the court.

It wasn’t easy today for Radwanska despite the win. In the first set she had difficulties to enter in the match and play her game. Niculescu broke her two times to take the lead (4/1). We thought at this moment that it’s not a good day for the top seed, Kvitova lost today. But Radwanska didn’t give up and began to play a better tennis.

She won five games in a row to lead 5/4 and put pressure on Monica Niculescu.

The Romanian had this first set on her hands but she broke down at 5/6 and lost it after a good lead at first.

In the second set, it was mentally hard for Monica Niculescu to stay focus on the match after the scenario of the first. Agnieszka Radwanska played a better tennis and wanted to win the match quickly. In the same way than the first set, the Polish won five game in a row to conclude the match (6/1) and go the the quarter-finals.

She’ll play Roberta Vinci or Cagla Buyukakcay.

At the same time, the tournament lost his 13 number seed Caroline Wozniacki. The Danish girl was beating by a surprising Elena Vesnina in three sets (7/5, 5/7, 6/3) and 2h38 minutes. Wozniacki had the occasion to enter in the top 20 if she made a final but she has to play better.

The world number 118 played an amazing match, like yesterday when she beat Simona Halep. Vesnina is this week a very dangerous player for the favorite. She can win the tournament if she plays like this.

The match could have been more quick because the Russian served for the match in the second set at 5/4. But Caroline Wozniacki came back strong and took the set.

In the decider Elena Vesnina was the best on the court, she broke two times her opponent to take the qualification for the next round. Carla Suarez Navarro is her next opponent in quarter-finals.
