The former World No. 4 and 2009 US Open champion has played precious little tennis this year after he was sidelined by another wrist injury. He made a brief attempt at a comeback in Miami, but suffered a first round defeat to Vasek Pospisil before deciding to go under the knife again in a bid to solve the underlining problem.
Despite the positivity, Delpo remains understandably cautious, “The only question mark is the date of my return. There’s no doubt I will play again, the only doubt is when and where“.
