Edouard Roger-Vasselin progressed to the main draw of the Paris Masters, as he completed his run through qualifying by defeating Jan- Lennard Struff 6-7, 6-2, 6-1. He was the only home player to advance though, as Kenny De Schepper lost 6-4, 6-4 to Marcel Granollers, and Paul-Henri Mathieu was defeated 6-3, 6-3 by Dusan Lajovic.
Aljaz Bedene beat big-serving Pole Jerzy Janowicz, 6-7, 6-2, 7-5. Janowicz had been a finalist in 2012. Pablo Carreno Busta recorded an easy 6-4, 6-0 win over Rajeev Ram, and Lukas Rosol continued the comeback theme set by Bedene and Roger-Vasselin, eventually winning through 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 against Teymuraz Gabashvili.
All six have been added to the main draw. Roger-Vasselin starts with Ivo Karlovic, and Lajovic will face French wildcard Nicolas Mahut. Lukas Rosol has been handed what looks like a winnable tie against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, whilst Pablo Carreno Busta faces Grigor Dimitrov. Aljaz Bedene will face fellow qualifier Marcel Granollers.
-Teymuraz Gabashvili has been added to the main draw as a lucky loser, taking the place of Philipp Kohlschreiber. Gabashvili will face Brazilian Tomaz Bellucci for the right to face Novak Djokovic in the second round.
