Was Maria Sharapova a better player than Justine Henin? Is Roger Federer’s dominance in the sport finally over? In a special podcast Ubitennis founder Ubaldo Scanagatta teams up with Steve Flink to look back on Sharapova’s career and what could be left of Federer’s.

The past week has seen one of the most popular figures in women’s tennis hang up her racket for good. Five-time grand slam champion Sharapova has retired from tennis at the age of 32 with immediate effect. Bringing an end to a highly successful career that was marred by a 15-month doping ban and her business-like mindset in the locker rooms. The question is how much greater could Sharapova’s career have been if it wasn’t for the Williams sisters?

Meanwhile, the men’s tour are also dealing with a notable absence, but in a different format. Roger Federer is out of action until at least June after undergoing surgery on his right knee. Making it only the second time in his record-breaking career that he has undergone the knife. Scanagatta and Flink look at what could be next for the 38-year-old Swiss Maestro and his chances of staging another triumphant comeback on the grass later this year.
