US doubles players Rachel Kops Jones and Abigal Spears are the eighth team to reach the WTA Finals in Singapore completing the star-studded line-up of the end-of-year tournament. Kops-Jones and Soears secured their spot after winning the semifinal in Linz. They will meet Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the final of the Austrian tournament. They have already won two doubles titles in Doha and Nottingham this year to bring the total of wins to 12 WTA doubles titles.
Kops Jones and Spears join Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza, Bethanie Mattek Sands and Lucie Safarova, Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, Casey Dellaqua and Yaroslava Schvedova, Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic, Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik and Chan Hao Ching and Chan Yung Jan
Hingis and Mirza lead the WTA Road to Singapore after winning in Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wimbledon, US Open, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing. Mattek Sands and Safarova follow in second place with wins at the Australian Open, Stuttgart Indoor, Roland Garros and Toronto.
