Rafa Nadal’s indifferent season on the court has started to have its repercussions off it after Pokerstars decided to put an end to it’s partnership with the former world number one.
The main reason behind this separation is that Pokerstars has decided to focus on its marquee clients Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, two of the greatest footballers on the planet, as well as signing British snowboarder Zoe Gillings-Brier.
Nadal and Pokerstars started their relationship in June of 2012 and since then the Spanish tennis player has appeared in various poker tournaments, both online and at casinos, and has also taken part in publicity campaigns which included hidden camera pranks on the general public.
Perhaps certain companies are starting to lose faith in a Nadal revival, which will undoubtedly be a blow to the Majorcan’s confidence. In a period where there is more talk about the path his career should take than his actual results, Nadal’s only response can be by achieving the success he has done throughout a stellar career.
