Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro have qualified for the doubles final at the WTA Finals in Singapore thanks to their 7-6 (8-6) 6-0 win over Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.
Muguruza and Suarez Navarro had to dig deep in the tie-break of the first set where they prevailed with 8-6 before cruising to a bagel win in the second set.
They teamed up for the first time in 2014 in Miami where they beat Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in their first match together. They won their first doubles title in Stanford in 2014 and finished runner-up at Dubai and Madrid in 2015. In 2014 they also reached the final in Madrid and Tokyo.
Muguruza bounced back after losing the singles semifinal against Agnieszka Radwanska with a win in the doubles semifinal. The all-Spanish team will face the World Number 1 doubles team formed by Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza.
