After being a regular feature on the ATP Tour since 2006. The Zagreb Open has been forced to cancel the tournament due to financial difficulties.

The organisers of the Croatian tournament have failed to secure enough sponsors to guarantee the continuation of the tournament. The venue, which was hosted at the Dom Sportova, has been a successful tournament for home players. Six out of the past ten champions have been Croatian. In this year’s final spain’s Guillermo García-López defeated Andreas Seppi to claim his fourth ATP title. The tournament organizers posted a brief thank-you statement on their Facebook account.

Thank you!

We want to thank you all, our Facebook friends, family and many professionals and volunteers who worked with dedication for the past 10 years creating a magical atmosphere of ATP tournament in Zagreb with us.

We put a lot of effort but unfortunately it was not enough. In year 2016 the tournament will be held in Bulgarian capital – Sofia.

We look forward to new projects because behind every cloud, there is a big sun smiling!
