The former junior world number 1 has beaten two top 50 players in 2015. He stunned Fernando Verdasco in the first round of the Barcelona Open and defeated Pablo Andujar to secure Russia’s Davis Cup win over Spain in July. At the US Open he won three qualifying matches to reach the main draw before losing in the first round to South Africa’s Kevin Anderson.
