The biggest upset on the first day of the 2015 US Open was Benoit Paire’s five set win over Kei Nishikori. In the lead up to the final Grand Slam in 2015, Paire became the first player since 2007 to claim a title in a Futures, Challenger and ATP tournament within the same year.
