Djokovic is on a collision path for a semi-final against Stan Wawrinka in a possible re-match of this year’s Roland Garros final. The Lausanne star will start his Montreal campaign against the winner of the very interesting first round match between Fernando Verdasco and  this year’s Australian Open quarter finalist Nick Kirgyos. In the third round Wawrinka could face either this year’s Wimbledon quarter finalist Vasek Pospisil or John Isner, who is in the semifinal in Washington this week.

Milos Raonic, who was runner-up to Rafael Nadal in the Rogers Cup in 2013, will start against either Jerzy Janowicz or Ivo Karlovic before a possible third round against Richard Gasquet in the third round and Wawrinka in the quarter final.

Nadal is on a collision course with Andy Murray for a possible semifinal in the bottom half of the draw. Three-time Rogers Cup champion Nadal could face Sergiy Stakhovskiy in the second round before possible clashes against Gilles Simon in the third round and Kei Nishikori (finalist in Washington this week) in the quarter final.

Andy Murray will try to bounce back from his surprising defeat against Teymuraz Gabashvili in Washington against either Tommy Robredo or Feliciano Lopez in the second round before a possible match against Gael Monfils who will face a tough match in the opening round against Fabio Fognini, who reached the Hamburg final last week. Muray is projected to face last year’s US Open champion Marin Cilic in the quarter final. The same section also features last year’s Rogers Cup champion Jo Wilfred Tsonga who will face Borna Coric in the opening match
