Ana Ivanovic is showing no signs of slowing down since retirement after gracing the front cover of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine in Germany.
Speaking with the fashion magazine, which was first published in 1867, Ivanovic spoke about nutrition. Unlike other former athletes that struggle to get out of their routine of a strict diet, the 29-year-old has a more relaxed perspective.
“I’ve tried diets, but honestly, I enjoy a nice meal too much,” said Ivanovic. “Besides, I could never say no to chocolate.”
“When you are on a diet, you are always hungry and in a bad mood. I’m not obsessed with giving up on certain things like wheat.”
Retiring from tennis in 2016, Ivanovic maintains fitness by engaging in other sports with her husband. Naming some of those sports, she mentions that the two play golf, tennis (obviously) and ‘sometimes yoga.’

The former world No.1 has recently moved to Chicago with her fiance Bastian Schweinsteiger. The move was made after Schweinsteiger secured a multi-million dollar deal to play for MLS team Chicago Fire.
Last month Ivanovic was named ‘Beauty Idol’ at the 2017 Gala Awards in Germany. At the time she spoke about her future plans, which includes one day having a family.
“I think it’s important that I have a time for myself, but I definitely want to have children in the future.” She said.
“New possibilities, for example in the beauty business, I am curious and would like to learn.”
During her career, Ivanovic won a total of 15 titles on the WTA Tour,. Her sole triumph in the grand slams occurred at the 2008 French Open when she defeated Dinara safina in the final. Her total prize money earning in tennis is $15,510,787 according to wtatennis.com.
